Dr. Nancy Li was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a minor in psychology from the University of California, San Diego.  During her time there, she was an active member of the Pre-Dental Society and volunteered at the Student-Run Free Clinics.

Before starting dental school at UCSF, she travelled to Timor-Leste for a humanitarian mission trip aboard the U.S.S. Mercy Naval Hospital Ship and helped Navy dentists provide dental care to the underserved.

She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCSF, where she was involved in several organizations and held various positions in Children's Health Hut, Student Society of Pediatric Dentistry, Developmental Disabilities in Pediatric Dentistry, and Delta Sigma Delta.

Her passion and dedication to helping children has led her to continue her education at UCSF, where she completed her pediatric dentistry training with a Master of Science in Oral and Craniofacial Biology.  She was awarded the Excellence in Dental Care of the Pediatric Disabled Patient upon graduation. During residency, Nancy volunteered abroad and provided dental care for children in rural parts of Guatemala. She plans to continue to volunteer her services to underserved communities, abroad and domestic.

Dr. Nancy’s practice philosophy involves providing compassionate, quality care unique to each child in a fun and welcoming environment.  During her free time, she loves to explore the Bay Area and try new restaurants.  She also enjoys cooking, hiking and travelling.
