Dr. Ariel is a South Bay Area native. She attended the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology as well as Economics. She received her dental education at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. During dental school, Dr. Ariel grew weary of chasing cavity after cavity in adults and decided to focus on preventing the problem. To do so, she organized and led multiple outreach programs to raise oral health awareness in the community and among health care professionals.

Since healthy oral hygiene routines are most effective when established early, Dr. Ariel devoted herself to working with children. She went on to complete both her residency training in Pediatric Dentistry and her Master of Science degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco. Upon completion, she received the Raymond Braham Outstanding Clinician Award.

As research sheds new light on what affects an individual’s risk for cavities, Dr. Ariel strives to share this nuanced information with families. She is honored to be your child’s dentist and will work with you to develop an individualized plan for decreasing cavities in your child’s teeth. In addition to reading research publications, Dr. Ariel stays abreast of new knowledge by participating in dental organizations. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and Santa Clara County Dental Society.

When she isn't practicing dentistry, Dr. Ariel can be found “researching” the never-ending stream of newly released children's movies, crocheting items for friends, teaching tricks to her dog, and spending time with family.
